To convert your motor vehicle plates into motorcycle plates, there are a couple of prerequisites to complete the conversion.
- Firstly, your motor vehicle plates must not be registered to a car. If they are registered to car, you will need to fill out a remove and attach form and then visit your local Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre to have them unregistered.
- Once the motor vehicle plates are unregistered, call us on 136 356 to process the motorcycle conversion. Pricing of the conversion starts from $175.
The new motorcycle plate will take 10-14 business days to be manufactured and delivered to your nominated address.
Please note: The motor vehicle plates will need to be surrendered at your local Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre within 14 days of receiving your new motorcycle plates.
