How can I request for my PPQ account to be deleted or removed?

Under current Australian state and Commonwealth privacy laws, there is no explicit right of deletion available to individuals.

In addition, the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) contracts Publicis Red Lion Pty Ltd (PRL) for the conduct of the business trading as Personalised Plates Queensland (“PPQ”, also referred to herein as “us”, “we”, “our”). As the contracted service provider, we are only authorised to carry out sales, marketing, customer service and business management of personalised number plates in the state of Queensland. We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to fulfil our obligations to you in contract, but also under applicable transport regulations to TMR.

As such, we regret that we are unable to fulfil your request to delete your personal information as this would require us to act in a manner that exceeds the authority granted to us by TMR.

However, we can remove or suppress your personal information from all non-essential systems, e.g. our marketing systems, and upon request, we will action this without undue delay.
