Moving to Queensland?

Many local, interstate and international buyers purchase plates for fun or as collector items without ever attaching them to a vehicle. If you have a Queensland CRN (Customer Reference Number), you can buy Queensland personalised plates wherever you reside. If you do plan to take them on the road, the vehicle must be Queensland registered. Need a Queensland CRN? Moving Interstate or overseas?

Moving interstate can be stressful, but there's one thing you don't have to worry about - your Personalised Plates. Once you've purchased them, they're yours for life. Even if you move to another state, you can keep your Queensland Personalised Plates safe and sound. And if you ever move back to Queensland in the future, you can register your vehicle with the same plates again!

But what if you don't plan on returning to Queensland? Well, you can also sell your Personalised Plates and let someone else enjoy a piece of your personal history. Just make sure you follow the proper procedures for transferring ownership of the plates.

Please Note: Due to state regulations, Queensland personalised plates can’t be displayed on vehicles registered in another state just as interstate plates can’t be displayed on Queensland registered vehicles.
